Update Client’s Personal Information
You can maintain a client’s information in SafeTalk even if they don’t use the platform themselves. This can be helpful when supporting a child or older adult, or when managing records on a client’s behalf. Keeping personal and contact details up to date makes it easier to find what you need and use the correct information for reminders.
How to Update Client’s Information
- Use the client search in SafeTalk to find the client.
- Select the client, then choose File from the available shortcuts.
- In the client file, find Basic Info and click the pencil icon or Edit Info. The edit form will show the details available for that client.
- Update the information as needed, such as their name, email address, phone number, date of birth, address, or emergency contacts.
- Click Update to save your changes.
The details available to edit may depend on the client’s file and engagement status. Review the information carefully before saving.
Check Email and Phone Verification
The client’s email and phone verification status appears with their contact details. In the edit form, you can review the verification settings alongside the information.
Confirm the details with the client before marking an email address or phone number as verified. A verified email can receive email reminders. A verified phone number can support WhatsApp reminders when WhatsApp access is available on your account and the client has opted in.
Update Client Details When Needed
When a client’s information changes, open their file, select Edit Info, and update the relevant details. Keeping the record current helps you access accurate information when supporting the client.
