It is common practice in most centres to request payment only after the session is completed. As a result, it has become a common phenomenon for clients to change their minds at the last minute and either fail to show up or cancel their appointments. This phenomenon caused additional costs for the clinicians, as they were required to travel to the centre, only to discover later that clients had changed their minds. The SafeTalk system enables clinicians or centres to facilitate payment by confirming an appointment. As such, session attendance among clients is generally high. Furthermore, clients will put in effort to inform clinicians if they need to reschedule the sessions.
